From 2010 he has been leader of a project at the Institute of Iranian Studies, Vienna, Austria, aiming to contextualize Islamic, chiefly Persian, art objects in Central Europe.

Scholarly Interests
His research interest covers diverse aspects of Iranian art history in the Islamic period, as well as Iranian artistic interactions with neighboring regions. He is currently involved in cataloguing and systematizing projects of Central European public collections of Iranian art.
