When necessary forwards proposals on their improvements as per the need. · Follows the implementations of agricultural and rural development policies, strategies and regulations formulated by the ministry within the framework of the general agricultural policy of the country. · Studies the agricultural and rural development policies of countries with similar socioeconomic formations in contrast with our country and proposes policy ideas pertinent to our need. · Proposes ideas in cooperation with other relevant departments on financial and material capacity of the ministry to attain rapid and sustainable agricultural and rural development. · Studies the relations and complementarity among the agricultural and rural policies, strategies and guidelines and other national policies of the country. · Collect information on agricultural inputs and analyze them in relation with the existing government policies, strategies and regulations. Suggest if necessary on measures to be undertaken. · Follows the implementations of the agricultural and rural development policies, strategies and regulations. · Participates and renders professional skills and experiences if necessary when meetings organized on agricultural and rural policies, strategies and regulations are conducted. · Coordinates the activities of the members of the team, evaluates their performance and suggest how to improve their professional skills. · Represents the ministry in bilateral and multilateral cooperation forums and dealings with the third parties. · Reports on the performance of the team accordingly. · Implements additional duties when ordered by the head of the department Dean of Ardaita Agricultural Technical Vocational Education and Training College (ATVET) from December 30, 2003 to the end of March 9, 2005 7.1 Duties and responsibilities (As elaborated in the manpower and organizational structure as well as academic rules and regulations of the college) · Without prejudice to the other provisions of the regulations of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as the Dean of the college I was the chief executive of the college, and as such I was subjected to the general guidelines to be given to me by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to direct and administer the activities of the college, · In line with the rules and procedures of the higher educational institutions and government civil service regulations employ and manage academic and administrative staff, · Prepare the annual budget of the college and submit to the federal agricultural extension Technical Vocational Education and Training Department, · Manage the execution of the budget in accordance with the financial rules and regulations of the country, and · Perform other duties assigned by the ministry. Assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Rural Development, Department of Planning and programming in the team of foreign economic relations from 1992 to 1994, after the closure of the Yekatit 66 Institute.
